Description
This frosting can be used to coat cupcakes, muffins, any cakes and pies. It looks very festive and holiday-like!
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese - 12.3 oz
- Butter - 5 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract - 2½ teaspoons
- Cream (40%) - 3 tablespoons
- Ground Nutmeg - 0.1 teaspoons
- Desiccated coconut - ¾ cup
- Powdered Sugar - 5½ cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the ricotta with softened butter using a mixer until smooth.
Step 2
Add vanilla, cream, and nutmeg and beat again.
Step 3
Continuing to beat on low speed, gradually add the powdered sugar (add more sugar if necessary to achieve the desired thick consistency).
Step 4
Add the shredded coconut and mix well (You can choose not to add the coconut right away. First, frost the cake, then sprinkle the coconut on top).
