Sorrel and Goat Cheese Pie
Ingredients
- Sorrel - 10.6 oz
- Puff Pastry - 1 piece
- Goat cheese - 3.5 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the pastry according to the package instructions.
Step 2
Sort the sorrel, rinse it, trim the stems, lay it on a towel, and dry it well.
Step 3
Chop the sorrel and mix it thoroughly with the cheese (best done by hand).
Step 4
Roll out one part of the pastry to fit the size of the baking dish and transfer it to the dish.
Step 5
Spread the filling on the pastry, leaving about 2 cm of the edges free. Brush the edges with egg.
Step 6
Roll out the second part of the pastry and cover the filling with it, pinching the edges slightly.
Step 7
Brush the pie with egg and make shallow cuts on top with a sharp knife (make it look nice).
Step 8
Let it sit for half an hour at room temperature.
Step 9
Bake in an oven preheated to 392°F for 10 minutes, then reduce to 180 and bake for another 10 minutes.
