Spanish tortilla with potatoes and onions

Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Potato - 1 piece
  • Onion - ½ piece
  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Slice the potato into thin half-moons and fry until cooked in a pan over low heat to avoid browning, about 15 minutes.

Step 2

In the middle of frying, add finely chopped onion to the potatoes.

Step 3

In a bowl, beat the two eggs, add the cooked potatoes and onions (if there is too much oil in the potatoes, it's better to let it drain). Mix and gently mash the potatoes with a fork.

Step 4

In a small pan, heat the olive oil well, pour in the eggs with the potatoes, and immediately reduce the heat to medium. After three minutes, lower the heat to the lowest setting and fry for another three minutes.

Step 5

Now carefully transfer the tortilla to a plate using a thin spatula, cover it with the pan, and flip it onto the pan.

Step 6

Continue frying on the other side for about three more minutes. You can check for doneness with a toothpick.
