Description
Spinach Puff Pastries
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 5.6 oz
- Frozen spinach discs - 9.9 oz
- Onion - 1.8 oz
- Garlic - ½ cloves
- Feta cheese - 3.5 oz
- Large eggs - 2 pieces
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Dill - 3 stalks
- Flaky sea salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the spinach and squeeze out as much moisture as possible to prevent the filling from being too wet. Crumble the feta cheese, finely chop the onion, dill, and garlic, then season carefully with salt and pepper, mixing well. Add oil and mix again. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and incorporate it into the spinach and cheese filling.
Step 2
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle measuring 30×20 cm, then cut it in half lengthwise, and each of the resulting strips into three squares. For baking, you will need a non-stick muffin tin, in this case for six pieces; if you don't have such a tin, you can fold the pastries in any way you like.
Step 3
Place a square of dough into each cavity of the mold, pressing it against the bottom and sides while leaving the corners outside. Fill the dough baskets with the spinach and cheese mixture, cover with the corners of the dough, and secure the edges.
Step 4
Beat the remaining egg and brush it over the pastries. Bake in the oven at 356°F for twenty-five minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the pastries to cool slightly in the pan. Serve warm.
