Sponge Cake with Jam
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 8.1 oz
- Sugar - 8.1 oz
- Butter - 10.6 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vanillin - 0.1 oz
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Milk - 5 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Jam - 6 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the sugar and 220 grams of butter until a thick white mass forms.
Step 2
Separately beat the eggs. Add the beaten eggs to the sugar and butter mixture, and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Sift the flour and add the baking powder, vanillin, and salt. Knead the dough, but do not beat it.
Step 4
Pour in 3 tablespoons of milk and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5
Bake the cake for 30 minutes at 356°F. When the sponge is golden brown, remove it and let it cool for 10 minutes. Cut it in half to create 2 layers.
Step 6
Next, make the cream - separately beat 80 grams of butter and the powdered sugar. Add 2 tablespoons of milk and mix.
Step 7
Spread cream on one layer. On top of the cream, place the jam (I used peach jam, but any other can be used).
Step 8
Cover with the second layer and dust with powdered sugar.
