Sponge Pastries 'Hedgehogs' with Condensed Milk
Ingredients
- Farm fresh eggs - 6 pieces
- Vanillin - 1 piece
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Safflower Oil - 8 fl oz
- Butter - 8.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 12.7 oz
- Condensed Milk - 15.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Whisk the eggs, vanillin, and sugar well.
Step 2
Add the flour and oil.
Step 3
Pour the resulting liquid batter immediately onto a baking sheet and bake at 356°F for 20–25 minutes.
Step 4
While the batter is warm, cut out circles with a glass and split them in half lengthwise, leaving them to cool.
Step 5
Crumble the leftover batter and bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes until golden.
Step 6
For the cream, mix the butter with the condensed milk, dip each circle into the cream, and stack them in pairs.
Step 7
For those with a sweet tooth, you can double the amount of cream.
Step 8
Dip the finished pastries in the crumbs. It's best to leave them in the refrigerator overnight to soak, but this rarely happens.
