Description
One of the best English puddings, Spotted Dick. The name can be translated quite loosely and inappropriately, but in reality, it simply means spotted pudding. The spots come from the fruit, and the term 'dick' was used in the 19th century to refer to puddings.
Ingredients
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 3.5 oz

- Dried cranberries with sugar - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Milk - 6 fl oz
- Sugar - 2.6 oz
Step by Step guide

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Pour water over the dried fruits, place on the heat, bring to a boil, and then remove from heat. Let it cool for 15 minutes, then drain the water.

Sift the flour.

Rub the butter into the flour with your hands until the mixture resembles sand.

Add sugar and dried fruits and mix well, gradually pouring in the milk to combine the dough.

Grease the molds with butter and fill them with the dough.

Cover the pudding with a circle of paper, greased side down.

Then cover with foil and wrap each dish with string to create a handle for convenience.

In a large pot, place a plate or something similar upside down. On top, place the molds with the dough and pour in hot water until it reaches halfway up the molds. Cover with a lid, put on the heat, and steam for about an hour.

Remove the molds from the pot and let them cool. Serve.

Then remove the pudding and serve.
