Description
Important! Only green buckwheat can be sprouted. The brown buckwheat we are used to is roasted and is not suitable for sprouting.
Ingredients
- Green Buckwheat - 1.9 oz
- Water - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Measure 50–60 grams of green buckwheat. It is convenient to use a measuring cup or a container from soy sauce.
Step 2
Rinse the green buckwheat in a sieve.
Step 3
Transfer to a small bowl and cover with cold water so that the water level is just below the level of the buckwheat. This is necessary to prevent it from becoming slimy and to avoid rinsing it later.
Step 4
Cover the bowl with a lid to prevent the surface of the buckwheat from drying out too much, leaving a gap for air. Let it sit for a day.
Step 5
At room temperature, the buckwheat will sprout 1–2 mm in about 24 hours. This is when it is best to consume it. If it is not needed, it can be tightly covered with a lid and placed in the refrigerator. This will significantly slow down the growth process.
