Description
Strawberry Crumble
Ingredients
- Strawberry - 6.5 oz
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Corn Starch - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 0.7 oz
- Muesli - 2.1 oz
- Brown Sugar - 0.5 oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 3 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut them in half or quarters. Place the strawberries in a bowl, add lemon juice, cornstarch, and sugar. Mix and let sit so the strawberries can release their juice.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine the muesli, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter. Use your hands to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 4
Place the strawberries along with their juice at the bottom of a baking dish, sprinkle the crumb mixture on top, and bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes. The crumble is ready when the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
Step 5
For the cream, whip the mascarpone with powdered sugar until smooth and firm.
Step 6
Serve the crumble on dessert plates, pipe a swirl of mascarpone cream onto each portion using a pastry bag, and enjoy.
