Strawberry Forest Cake
Ingredients
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Chopped almonds - 6.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2.5 oz
- Egg white - 5 pieces
- Powdered Sugar - 13.2 oz
- Ocean salt - a pinch
- 10% cream - 1 qt
- Cognac - 5.3 oz
- Vanillin - a knife tip
- Strawberry - 3 lbs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 302°F.
Step 2
Melt the butter.
Step 3
Grind the almonds into powder using a blender.
Step 4
Add a pinch of salt and 110 grams of powdered sugar to the egg whites, whisk until stiff peaks form, then add the ground almonds while continuing to whisk on low speed.
Step 5
Carefully pour in the melted butter. Add 115 grams of powdered sugar and flour, and gently mix everything together.
Step 6
Cut out circles from parchment paper with a diameter of 28-30 cm, grease them with butter, and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 7
Spread the batter in a thin layer of 3-5 mm on the parchment (the batter is liquid, so be careful).
Step 8
Bake the layers in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove the layers from the parchment immediately after they are ready.
Step 9
Now for the cream. Whip the cream with 150 grams of powdered sugar, add vanillin and cognac. Mix well.
Step 10
Cut the strawberries lengthwise into 4 pieces.
Step 11
On each layer, spread a layer of whipped cream, followed by a layer of strawberries.
Step 12
Decorate the top layer of whipped cream with strawberry slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
