Description

Strawberry granita is a refreshing frozen dessert made with pureed strawberries, sugar, and a touch of lemon juice. It’s perfect for hot summer days and can be easily prepared at home. Simply blend fresh strawberries with sugar, freeze the mixture, and scrape it with a fork to create a fluffy, icy texture. Serve it in a chilled glass for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • Strawberry - 2 lbs
  • Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Red Grape Juice - 10 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Bring 100 ml of water with sugar to a boil and cook until all the sugar has dissolved. Let the resulting syrup cool.

Step 2

Slice the strawberries in half. Pour over with syrup and red semi-sweet wine.

Step 3

Transfer the strawberries in syrup to a container and place it in the freezer. After three hours, take it out and use a fork to break up the hardened mixture into icy crumbs. Repeat this process a few times at one-hour intervals, until the mixture turns into a uniform icy crumb.

Step 4

Distribute the prepared granita into glasses and serve.
