Strawberry Granita
Ingredients
- Strawberry - 14.1 oz
- Tequila - 3 fl oz
- Orange bitters - 1 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Limes - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the sugar in a saucepan with 150 milliliters of water and heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
Step 2
Remove the stems from the strawberries and place them in a food processor or blender. Squeeze the juice from three limes into the mixture and blend. Strain the strawberries through a fine sieve into the cooled syrup and add the tequila and orange liqueur.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for 3 hours. Thinly slice the remaining lime, place it on a sheet of plastic wrap, wrap it up, and freeze.
Step 4
Use a spoon to scrape the surface of the granita to create crystals and divide into 4 glasses, layering the mixture with lime pieces. Serve immediately. Alternatively, you can fluff it with a fork and return it to the freezer for a little longer.
