Strudel with Cherry-Plum Filling
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4.4 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Water - 3 tablespoons
- Plums - 24.7 oz
- Marinated cherries - 24.7 oz
- Brown Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 0.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour and add salt. Cut the butter into cubes and mix it with the flour. Gradually add the egg and hot water while stirring constantly. Knead into a thick dough.
Step 2
Transfer the dough to a container and let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Step 3
To prepare the filling, remove the pits from the plums and cherries. Add sugar and breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Roll out the dough on a floured towel as thinly as possible. Brush the dough with melted butter, evenly distribute the cherry-plum filling, and roll the dough into a long log using the towel.
Step 5
Transfer the strudel to a greased baking sheet and brush with butter.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 374°F and bake the strudel in the oven for 40 minutes.
