Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Water - ¾ cup
- Poppy seed paste - 5.3 oz
- Dried Apricots - 3.5 oz
- Chopped almonds - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 1 cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rub the flour with the butter, add the eggs and water, knead the dough, and leave it in the cold overnight.
Step 2
Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds twice. Drain the water, add sugar, and grind in a mortar or poppy seed grinder.
Step 3
Chop the dried apricots and coarsely chop the walnuts.
Step 4
Roll out the dough, place the filling, roll it up, prick with a fork, and bake for at least 40 minutes at 356°F.
