Strudel with Potatoes and Sausages

Ingredients

  • Sausages - 6 pieces
  • Puff Pastry - 1 piece
  • Salad Potatoes - 3 pieces
  • Edam Cheese - 5.3 oz
  • Whole egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

First, you need to boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water for 10–15 minutes. Then peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Cut the sausages in half.

Step 2

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry to a size of 35 cm by 30 cm and place it on a greased baking sheet or a silicone mat. Then layer the potatoes and sausages alternately, adding spices to taste and, if needed, salt. Next, add the cheese. Place another layer of potatoes and sausages, remembering the spices.

Step 3

Now close the strudel and brush it with the egg yolk.

Step 4

Bake at 356°F for 30 minutes, maybe a little less — the strudel is ready when the surface turns golden. Adjust according to your oven.
