Description
This recipe yields about 100 cookies or 50 double-layer cookies with chocolate.
Ingredients
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla extract - ¼ teaspoon
- Baking Powder - ¼ teaspoon
- Chocolate - 10.6 oz
- Ground Oats - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Blend the oats in a blender for 30 seconds (be careful not to overdo it).
Step 10
Melt the chocolate.
Step 11
Dip one side of the cookie and sandwich it with another.
Step 2
Mix the dry ingredients: blended oats, flour, sugar, and salt.
Step 3
Melt the butter or margarine and add it to the dough.
Step 4
Add the egg and a few drops of vanilla extract (you can substitute with vanilla sugar or vanilla. If using pure vanilla, use a pinch). Mix well.
Step 5
Finally, add the baking powder and mix well again.
Step 6
Place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. If you're short on time, at least for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Scoop the dough into balls on a baking sheet (choose the size depending on whether you want small or large cookies). Do not place the balls too close together, or they will merge while baking.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 392°F. Bake for about 7 minutes. When the cookies are golden and light in the center, it's time to take them out.
Step 9
Cool the cookies on a wire rack. Do not remove them immediately, as they are still fragile right after baking.
