Ingredients
- Coarse Cornmeal - ⅓ cup
- Milk - ½ cup
- Water - 3 cups
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - 7 teaspoons

Rinse the cornmeal three times in cold water, then twice in warm water.
Step 2
Pour water over the cornmeal and add the milk.
Step 3
Cover with a lid, and when it boils (watch to prevent it from overflowing), remove the foam and add salt at the tip of a teaspoon.
Step 4
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-30 minutes on low heat; if it thickens, add a little more boiled water.
Step 5
Before fully cooked, add 7 teaspoons of sugar, stir, remove from heat, and let the porridge steep for 10 minutes.
