- Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
- Sour Cream - 7½ spoons
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
- Sugar - 2 spoons
- Butter - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In cold water or milk (1/2 cup), beat a raw egg, adding a scant teaspoon of salt. Gradually add 2 cups of sifted flour and knead into a stiff dough.
Step 2
Pass the cottage cheese through a meat grinder, then add sugar, the egg yolk, a tablespoon of melted butter, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and mix everything well.
Step 3
Roll the dough out very thin, use a metal cutter or a glass to cut out circles, brush them with beaten egg white, place a teaspoon of cottage cheese filling on each circle, then fold the edges together and pinch to seal.
Step 4
Ten minutes before serving, drop the dumplings into salted boiling water and cook until they float to the surface. Then remove them with a slotted spoon, place them on a plate or in a serving bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and serve with sour cream or fruit syrup.
