Description

If you serve the pie warm, it will be incredibly delicious to serve it with a scoop of ice cream, sprinkled with walnuts. You can simply drizzle honey over the ice cream.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Water - 1 fl oz
  • Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Vanilla salt - to taste
  • Ground Cinnamon - to taste
  • Pears - 2 pieces
  • Walnuts - 1.8 oz
  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • 20% Sour Cream - 4 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cream the softened butter with the sugar, add the flour and baking powder, and mix well.

Step 2

Pour in the warm water, stirring until the flour lumps dissolve, then add the vanilla sugar.

Step 3

Cut the pears (I used a soft variety) into small pieces, leaving the skin on as it will soften during baking.

Step 4

Break the walnuts into pieces. You can chop them in a blender, but in this case, larger pieces are preferable.

Step 5

Add the walnuts and pear pieces to the batter, mix, and pour into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30 minutes.

Step 6

In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream and honey. If you love honey, add another spoonful.

Step 7

Check the doneness with a toothpick or knife by inserting it into the center of the pie — it should come out clean. Without removing from the oven, pour and spread the sour cream and honey mixture over the surface of the pie and leave it in the turned-off but still warm oven for about 10 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the pie, let it cool completely, and serve, sprinkled with cinnamon and drizzled with the remaining honey mixture.
