Sweet Pumpkin Porridge

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin - 10.6 oz
  • Millet - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • Butter - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Nuts - to taste
  • Dried Turkey - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Rinse the millet, discarding any dark grains, and then wash it in hot water until the water runs clear.

Step 2

Peel the pumpkin, then grate the flesh on a coarse grater or cut it into 1x1 cm cubes.

Step 3

Place the millet in a pot, add the pumpkin pieces, and pour in hot water. Put it on the heat, add salt, skim off any foam, and quickly evaporate all the water until the millet is not overcooked. Do not stir the porridge.

Step 4

Pour in hot milk, add butter and sugar.

Step 5

Finely chop the nuts and dried fruits, add them to the porridge. Mix everything, cover with a lid, and cook over medium heat until ready.
