Description
The amount of water will depend on how dry the pulp turned out. The amount of honey will depend on the sweetness of the carrot. You can also reduce the amount of spices a bit if a non-spicy dish is desired.
Ingredients
- Carrot - 4 pieces
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Coconut flakes - 2.8 oz
- Honey - 2 spoons
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - ½ spoons
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ spoons
- Water - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and peel the carrots.
Step 2
Prepare juice from carrots. You will need not the juice itself, but the leftover pulp.
Step 3
Slice a ripe banana into eight to nine pieces, which will be used as the filling. Also, dissolve honey in warm water beforehand.
Step 4
Mix the carrot pulp with shredded coconut and spices, then add vegetable oil and honey water. Stir again.
Step 5
Add the juice of half a lemon.
Step 6
From the resulting mixture, shape triangular pastries filled with banana. These will be onigiri.
Step 7
Chill in the refrigerator.
