Description

A sweet pie is made with a filling of jam, preserves, or apples.

Ingredients

  • Unleavened dough - 2 lbs
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Roll out the prepared dough to a thickness of about 1/2 cm, place it on a prepared baking sheet, tray, or round pan, trim the excess dough, add the filling, and fold the edges over by 1.5–2 cm. Cut narrow strips from the leftover dough and create a lattice on top of the filling. Attach the dough strip to the edges of the pie with egg. Then place the pie in a warm place to rise.

Step 2

When the pie has risen, brush the top with beaten egg and place it in a hot oven for 20–30 minutes.

Step 3

Carefully remove the finished pie from the baking sheet, place it on paper, sprinkle with powdered sugar mixed with vanilla, slice, arrange on a plate, and serve. The sweet pie can be served with milk or fruit juice.
