Description
If you don't have enough filling (you used too much for each patty), you can simply make pastries with jam from the remaining dough balls. For a shiny finish, brush the syrniki with beaten egg before baking. You can check for doneness with a wooden stick (match or toothpick) by poking the dough. If the syrniki are ready, the stick will come out dry and clean.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 37.4 oz
- Sugar - 21.2 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Margarine - 8.8 oz
- Sour Cream - 10.6 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Cottage cheese - 22.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the margarine into squares and beat it with 450 grams of sugar.
Step 2
Add 2 eggs and beat well again.
Step 3
Add the sour cream and mix.
Step 4
Add the baking soda, salt, and 1 kg of flour, and knead the dough.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 36 balls.
Step 6
For the cottage cheese filling, mix 60 grams of flour, 1 egg, 650 grams of cottage cheese, and 150 grams of sugar.
Step 7
Roll out each ball and place the filling on one half of the resulting dough circle. Cover it with the other half without sealing.
Step 8
Place the syrniki on a baking sheet and put them in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20–25 minutes.
