Description
Tart with Goat Cheese and Garlic
Ingredients
- Garlic - 5 heads
- Puff Pastry - 13.2 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Sugar - ¾ tablespoon
- Dried Rosemary - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 teaspoon
- Sour Cream - 4.2 oz
- Goat cheese - 5.3 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Cream 22% - 3 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Melted Cheese - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the puff pastry in a greased baking dish with olive oil.
Step 2
Cut a circle from parchment paper equal to the diameter of the dish and place it on the pastry.
Step 3
Fill with beans and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake the pastry with the beans for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Then remove the paper and beans, prick the pastry with a fork to prevent rising, and return to the oven for another 5 minutes — we need to take out a fully baked tart base.
Step 6
Now we begin the longest process — peeling the garlic.
Step 7
Pour water over the garlic, bring to a boil, and let it simmer for 3–5 minutes. Remove the garlic and let it dry a bit. Discard the water, add a little olive oil, and sauté the garlic for 2 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and water, bring to a boil, and simmer on low heat for another 10–15 minutes. Add rosemary, thyme, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and sugar. Now wait for the liquid in the pot to evaporate (if it evaporates before the garlic is cooked, you can add a little water).
Step 8
Cut the cheese into small pieces and place it in the tart base, along with the garlic.
Step 9
In a bowl, mix the cream, sour cream, and eggs, adding 0.5 teaspoon of salt and a bit of black pepper.
Step 10
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 35–45 minutes — watch for a golden color.
