Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Citrus Zest Mix - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Butter - 8.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the cottage cheese filling: blend the cottage cheese with eggs, half a cup of sugar, a vanilla pod (scrape out the seeds) or vanilla sugar until smooth.
Step 2
During mixing, add the orange/lemon zest. Set the cottage cheese mixture aside.
Step 3
For the crumbly dough, grate 250 g of frozen butter into 3–4 cups of flour. Add a packet of baking powder and half a cup of sugar.
Step 4
Mix the dough by hand until it resembles fine crumbs. Divide the crumbs in half.
Step 5
Grease a baking dish with butter and spread half of the crumbs evenly.
Step 6
On top of the crumbs, add the entire cottage cheese mixture and smooth it out carefully.
Step 7
Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the cottage cheese mixture, dust with cinnamon, and bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 40 minutes.
Step 8
Cut the pie while hot, then let it cool and transfer it to a serving plate.
