Description
One cup equals 250 ml.
Ingredients
- Quince - 1 piece
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Semolina - 1 cup
- Kefir - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - ½ cup
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
- Vegetable Oil - ½ cup
- Vanillin - to taste
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar, add vanillin and a pinch of salt.
Step 2
Pour in the kefir and oil, and beat well.
Step 3
Add the semolina.
Step 4
Combine the flour with the baking powder and fold it into the batter, let it sit for about 20 minutes to allow the semolina to swell.
Step 5
Wash the quince, remove the seeds, and grate it on a coarse grater (with the skin).
Step 6
Fold the grated quince into the batter — it should have the consistency of thick sour cream.
Step 7
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
Step 8
Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven at 392°F. Be sure to check for doneness with a wooden stick or toothpick.
