Ingredients
- Kefir - 17 fl oz
- Egg white - 3 pieces
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Citric Acid - a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Safflower Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 2½ cups
- Vanillin - on the tip of a knife
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix flour, vanillin, salt, sugar, citric acid, and baking soda.
Step 2
Warm the kefir slightly and beat it with the eggs. Add sunflower oil to the mixture.
Step 3
Gradually add the liquid mixture to the flour. Mix thoroughly to avoid lumps.
Step 4
Let the batter rest in a warm place (about 30 minutes).
Step 5
Grease a well-heated frying pan: pour sunflower oil for the first time, then you can use a piece of unsalted lard for greasing.
Step 6
Pour the batter to a thickness of about 5 mm.
Step 7
The first side is cooked under a lid on low heat until bubbles appear. The second side is cooked without a lid. Fry for about 3 minutes on each side.
