Ingredients
- Water - 1 qt
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Dry yeast - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda - on the tip of a knife
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour warm water into a pot, add two egg yolks, mayonnaise, yeast, salt, and sugar. Whisk together.
Step 2
Gradually add flour; honestly, I measured the flour by eye. Depending on whether you want lacy thin pancakes or thicker ones. For thin pancakes, the batter should be liquid, the consistency of liquid sour cream.
Step 3
Add the baking soda. Mix and place in a warm spot for at least 4 hours, or better overnight. The batter should rise. When stirred, it should even bubble a bit, don't be alarmed.
Step 4
Whip the egg whites to a stiff peak and add them to the batter.
Step 5
The batter is ready for cooking. Fry in a preheated skillet.
