Ingredients
- Sour Cream - 10.6 oz
- Nuts - 3.5 oz
- Poppy seed paste - 3.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Raisins - 3.5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the layers, mix 100 grams of sugar with 1 egg. Add 100 grams of sour cream, 100 grams of flour, a pinch of salt, and baking soda, which has been quenched with vinegar, along with 100 grams of chopped nuts. Mix everything well. Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 356°F for about 25–30 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick. The next layer is made similarly to the first, but instead of nuts, add 100 grams of pre-soaked raisins. For the third layer, add pre-soaked poppy seeds. Cut the finished layers in half.
Step 2
For the custard, mix 2 eggs with 75 grams of sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour, add 2.5 tablespoons of milk, and mix thoroughly. Pour the resulting mixture into the slightly warmed milk (250 ml), bring to a boil, and cook a little longer on low heat until the mixture thickens. Then add the butter and, if desired, beat with a mixer for a lighter texture.
Step 3
Generously spread the cream on the cut layers and allow time to soak. It is best to leave it overnight.
