Description
Instead of mascarpone cheese, you can use cream cheese or a creamy cheese spread. Sometimes I use Baileys liqueur instead of Amaretto. In addition to cocoa powder, you can use grated chocolate.
Ingredients
- 10% cream - 5 fl oz
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 10.6 oz
- Egg white - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 2½ tablespoons
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Amaretto Liqueur - 4 tablespoons
- Sponge Cake Base - 3 pieces
- Freshly brewed green tea - 5 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
It is advisable to take all ingredients (except for the cream) out of the refrigerator.
Step 2
Beat the yolks with sugar until a thick light (almost white) foam forms. Whip the cream (carefully! do not turn it into butter). Gently mix the yolks with the cheese, then carefully fold in the whipped cream.
Step 3
Mix the coffee (not hot) with the liqueur. Soak the cake layers in the coffee and liqueur mixture.
Step 4
Cover the first layer with 1/3 of the cream. Repeat with the remaining layers. Decorate the cake with cocoa powder.
Step 5
Place in the refrigerator for 4 hours to soak and then invite your friends!
