Description

In the traditional recipe, there are no egg whites or liqueur. You can buy ladyfingers, with about 44 pieces in one package, or you can bake them yourself; look for a recipe online. You can also try making mascarpone cheese yourself. I brewed the coffee in a Turkish coffee pot, quite strong: 4–5 teaspoons for 150 ml of water. Attention! It falls apart instantly after being served!

Ingredients

  • Savoiardi Cookies - 40 pieces
  • Whole egg - 6 pieces
  • Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 17.6 oz
  • Freshly brewed green tea - 5 fl oz
  • Powdered Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Cocoa Powder - to taste
  • 70% Dark Chocolate - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks with powdered sugar using a mixer until frothy.

Step 2

In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese simultaneously to make it lighter and softer.

Step 3

Add the whipped egg yolks mixed with powdered sugar to the mascarpone and blend until smooth.

Step 4

Pour the coffee into a bowl (so that the ladyfinger can lie flat and soak up the coffee evenly).

Step 5

Now pay attention! Dip each stick in the coffee for no more than 1 second — otherwise, it will turn into mush, as the cookies are dry and absorb moisture very quickly. We need them to be able to soak up the cream as well.

Step 6

Now, arrange all this deliciousness in the dish (after measuring how much cookie you'll need and how best to layer it) but no more than 2–3 layers (I used 2), and you can also do it in individual portions.

Step 7

First, dip the cookies in coffee, then add a layer of cream, sprinkle cocoa powder on top, followed by another layer of cookies, cream, and cocoa. To finish, I topped it off with cream and grated chocolate.

Step 8

Place the tiramisu in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours before serving.
