Tortilla (Spanish Omelette)

Ingredients

  • Potato - 9.9 oz
  • Onion - 4.2 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 5 pieces
  • Tomatoes - 1 piece
  • Green Peas - 1 glass
  • Olive Oil - 3 spoons
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the potatoes, cut them in half, and slice them very thinly. Sprinkle with salt.

Step 2

Peel the onion, cut it in half, and chop it finely.

Step 3

Slice the tomatoes with a sharp knife.

Step 4

Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a skillet. Heat over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the potatoes and sauté them for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 6

Add the onion and stir well. Cover the skillet with a lid and reduce the heat. Stir occasionally.

Step 7

Crack the eggs into a large bowl and beat them with a fork until the yolks and whites are well combined.

Step 8

Add salt and pepper.

Step 9

Once the potatoes and onions are cooked, add them to the bowl with the eggs.

Step 10

Add the tomatoes and peas.

Step 11

Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and heat over medium heat for about 1 minute.

Step 12

Pour the mixture of eggs and vegetables into the skillet. Reduce the heat. Cook on the lowest setting for 15 minutes.

Step 13

When most of the liquid on the surface of the omelet has evaporated, flip it over and cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 14

Serve hot.
