Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour with baking powder through a sieve and form a mound.
Step 2
Add softened butter, salt, and 2–3 tablespoons of sugar.
Step 3
Add warm water, 2–3 tablespoons or a bit more, adjusting as needed.
Step 4
Knead a soft dough and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
Step 5
Shape the dough into thin sausages about 8–10 cm long and 1 cm in diameter.
Step 6
Roll them in the remaining sugar, pinching the ends to form oval pretzels.
Step 7
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F until lightly golden.
Step 8
If rolled in sugar on both sides, it's better to turn them during baking to prevent the sugar from burning.
