Description

Cookies should be spaced about 2 cm apart, as they will expand during baking. You can also vary the cookie filling; use nuts of your choice, or add chocolate chips or fresh fruits.

  • Butter - 8.8 oz
  • Ground Oats - 14.1 oz
  • Sugar - 8.8 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
  • Light Raisins, Seedless - 7.1 oz
  • Roasted Peanuts - 1.8 oz
  • Baking Powder - 3 teaspoons
  • Milk - 3 fl oz
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cream the sugar with the butter. Add the egg and mix well until smooth.

Step 2

Combine all the dry ingredients together.

Step 3

Add the wet mixture (the mixture of sugar, butter, and egg) to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

Step 4

Pour in the milk (at room temperature). Knead a stiff dough (the dough should be very thick and sticky).

Step 5

Let the dough rest for about 1 hour to allow the oats to soften slightly.

Step 6

Bake the cookies in the oven at 392°F for 10–13 minutes on baking paper. Pinch off small balls of dough and place them on the paper, pressing down with your hand (or spatula) to form discs about 6–7 cm in diameter and up to 1 cm thick.
