Trifle with Bananas and Coffee

Ingredients

  • Milk - 8 fl oz
  • Vanilla salt - 2 tablespoons
  • Corn Starch - 2 teaspoons
  • Egg white - 3 pieces
  • 10% cream - 5 fl oz
  • Bananas - 2 pieces
  • Ground Coffee - 3.5 oz
  • Sponge Cake Base - 5.3 oz
  • Egg Liqueur - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Bring 200 ml of milk to a boil.

Step 2

Mix the remaining milk with cornstarch, vanilla sugar, and egg yolks. Pour the mixture into the hot milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. The finished cream should not be too thick, be careful.

Step 3

Cool the cream.

Step 4

Whip the cream until fluffy.

Step 5

Slice the bananas into thin rounds.

Step 6

Mix the coffee with almond liqueur and soak the sponge cake in it.

Step 7

Layer the ingredients in the following order: first sponge cake + coffee with amaretto, then vanilla cream, then bananas, and top with whipped cream. Repeat the layers.

Step 8

Decorate the finished dessert (if desired) with almond flakes and coffee beans.
