Description
Try making this dessert with chocolate sponge cake as well: passion fruit and chocolate are a great combination! You can use any fruits and cream for the trifle. Don't be afraid to experiment!
Ingredients
- Kiwi - 2 pieces
- Mango - ½ piece
- Beans - ½ piece
- Raspberry leaves - 3 tablespoons
- Orange zest - 1 teaspoon
- 10% cream - 1 cup
- Sponge Cake Base - 3.5 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Passion Fruit - 2 fl oz
- Blackberry - 3 tablespoons
- Frozen Raspberries - 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the fruit salad, cut one kiwi, mango, and banana into cubes, mix with lime zest and fresh raspberries.
Step 2
For the cream, whip the cold cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a piping bag.
Step 3
To assemble the dessert, pipe a little whipped cream at the bottom of each of the six glasses. Add some salad, cover it with a layer of whipped cream. Place a piece of sponge cake in the glasses, soak it with passion fruit juice. Top with a bit more salad, again cover with a layer of whipped cream. Cover the glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.
Step 4
For the topping, cut the remaining kiwi in half and use a melon baller to make half spheres. Decorate the top of the dessert with the half spheres, as well as raspberry powder, fresh blueberries, and chocolate.
