Description
Truffles can be made without cocoa, and the flavor can be defined by any spice or simply left with a milky taste; in that case, do not exclude vanilla. Any nuts and dried fruits can be used as fillers.
Ingredients
- Dry Curd - 17.6 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - 17.6 oz
- Milk - ½ cup
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Nuts - to taste
- Raisins - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the milk into a saucepan, add the sugar, and heat on the stove until the sugar is completely dissolved, do not boil.
Step 2
Combine with the butter, melting it in the liquid, but do not boil. Add the vanillin, nuts, and raisins. Mix with the cocoa powder until fully dissolved.
Step 3
Gradually introduce the dried milk; the mixture should not be runny but also not too thick.
Step 4
Using a syringe, shape the future candies; you can use silicone molds or shape them into a log on parchment paper. Any chosen mold should be greased with butter for easy removal of the candies from the surface.
Step 5
Place in the refrigerator until the candies are completely hardened.
Step 6
Remove the finished candies onto a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar, dried milk, or cocoa powder; you can also roll them in crushed nuts or sesame seeds.
