Tuna Pie
Ingredients
- Kefir - 7 fl oz
- Safflower Oil - 3 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Canned cod liver - 3 cans
- Cheese Spread - 7.1 oz
- Mayonnaise - 1.8 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Butter - 0.4 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Warm the kefir and pour it into a deep bowl.
Step 2
Warm the sunflower oil and combine it with the kefir.
Step 3
Add a tablespoon of sugar.
Step 4
Add a teaspoon of salt.
Step 5
Add the dry yeast to the mixture.
Step 6
Mix thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
Step 7
Gradually incorporate the flour, kneading the dough well for 10 minutes.
Step 8
Place the finished dough in a bowl, cover with a towel, and set it in a warm place for 1 hour.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Finely chop the onion.

Drain excess liquid from the cans of tuna. Combine the onion, mayonnaise, and tuna, and mix until smooth.

Roll out the dough into a circle larger than the diameter of the baking dish.

Grease the dish with butter and lightly dust with flour. Place the dough in the dish, forming edges.

Spread the filling around the edges of the dish.

Cut the center of the dough into 8 equal triangles.

Wrap the edges of the dough around the filling, and lift and secure the points on the dough.

Brush the pie with the egg yolk. Bake at 392°F for 20–25 minutes.
