Ingredients
- Canned Mackerel in Oil - 7.1 oz
- White Beans - 14.1 oz
- Tomatoes - 3 pieces
- Scallions - 4 pieces
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Natural Yogurt - 1 tablespoon
- Puff Pastry - 7.1 oz
- Avocado - 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Ground coriander - 2 tablespoons
- Ground coriander - a pinch
- Lime - 1 piece
- Ground Cumin - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 428°F. Remove excess oil from the tuna. Rinse the beans. In a bowl, combine the tuna, beans, diced tomatoes, finely chopped green onions, olive oil, and yogurt. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Step 2
Place the mixture onto the pastry dough, fold it into an envelope shape, and secure it with a wooden toothpick. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes.

To prepare the guacamole sauce, cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh and place it in a bowl. Do not discard the skin. Mash the flesh with a fork, then add the diced seedless tomato, finely chopped onion, garlic, cilantro, cumin, lime juice, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well. Spoon the mixture back into the avocado skin and serve on plates alongside the tuna pies.
