Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Water - 0.5 tablespoons
- Salt - 0.5 teaspoons
- Margarine - 100 teaspoons
- Dry yeast - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 4 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour water into a glass, add yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Mix the yeast mixture with melted margarine and salt.
Step 3
Add the remaining sugar.
Step 4
Add flour to form a medium dough.
Step 5
Let the dough rise.
Step 6
Place the dough on a floured surface.
Step 7
Knead the dough.
Step 8
Pinch off a small piece, make 2 rolls, and twist them.
Step 9
Pinch the edges, place on a greased baking sheet (keep them spaced apart).
Step 10
Brush the bagels with beaten egg yolk.
Step 11
Bake at 356°F for 12–15 minutes.
