- Wheat Flour - 12.7 oz
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Turmeric - 0.2 oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, salt, and turmeric. Add the vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
Step 2
Add water and knead into a soft dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 8 balls.
Step 4
Grease the rolling pin and the surface with vegetable oil. Roll each ball out thinly.
Step 5
In a pan, heat the vegetable oil. Drop the flatbreads into the oil. When bubbles start to appear and the flatbread rises to the surface, use the back of a slotted spoon to hold it fully in the oil until it puffs up like a balloon. Fry on both sides.
Step 6
Serve the flatbreads hot, allowing excess oil to drain.
