Turrón with Cream and Walnuts

Ingredients

  • Water - ½ cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Honey - 11.6 oz
  • Egg white - 6 pieces
  • 10% cream - 1 tablespoon
  • Walnuts - 17.6 oz
  • Vinegar essence - to taste
  • Powdered Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Pour sugar over water, boil until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved, add honey, and cook on low heat until the mixture turns a golden-brown color.

Step 2

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whip the egg whites into a stable foam, gradually adding cream and powdered sugar.

Step 3

Then add the whipped egg whites to the honey-sugar mixture.

Step 4

Allow the mixture to come to a boil twice, then reduce the heat and cook, stirring, for 15–20 minutes.

Step 5

Add the walnuts, stir, and spread the resulting mixture onto wafers, cover with the second half of the wafers, place under a press, and leave to set in the refrigerator.

Step 6

You can wrap the turrón in foil before putting it in the refrigerator.
