Two-Tone Cake
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Margarine - 5.3 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Brandy - 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - ½ tablespoon
- 20% Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar.
Step 2
Melt the margarine in a water bath until smooth, then mix with sour cream.
Step 3
Combine steps 1 and 2, then add flour with baking powder.
Step 4
Divide the dough into 2 equal parts; optionally add a tablespoon of brandy to each part, and add cocoa to one part.
Step 5
In a greased baking pan, pour in the batter by the spoonful, alternating colors (either in the center of the pan or in a flower pattern, see photo).
Step 6
Bake at 356°F for about 40 minutes, checking for doneness with a wooden skewer or the tip of a knife.
