Description

Based on this recipe, you can prepare a variety of cakes. Use different syrups (liqueurs, infusions, tinctures, various creams, or jams).

Ingredients

  • Sour Cream - 22 oz
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and gradually add 1 cup of sugar until a stable foam forms.

Step 2

Add the baking powder to the flour, then incorporate 250 milliliters of sour cream into the mixture.

Step 3

Carefully mix all the ingredients into a homogeneous mass, which should be divided into 2 parts.

Step 4

In the second part of the batter, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and mix again.

Step 5

Bake 2 layers separately at 356°F for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 6

While they are baking, prepare the cream. Mix 1 cup of sugar with the remaining sour cream (you can also add cocoa powder if desired).

Step 7

Cut the cooled layers into two slices.

Step 8

Layer them alternately, spreading sour cream frosting in between.

Step 9

Leave for 3–4 hours to soak and refrigerate to set.
