Tyrolean Bread with Raisins
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
- Chocolate eggs - 6 pieces
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Dry yeast - 2.1 oz
- Milk - 12 fl oz
- Raisins - 5.3 oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the raisins in water.
Step 2
Cream the softened butter with sugar.
Step 3
Mix the sifted flour with the yeast, add the butter-sugar mixture, lemon zest, eggs, milk, and raisins. Knead the dough thoroughly and shape it into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 4
Grease a bread baking pan with butter and dust with flour. Punch down and flatten the dough in the pan and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 320°F.
Step 6
Bake the bread for about 40 minutes.
