Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
  • Butter - 4.2 oz
  • Water - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Egg white - 1 piece
  • Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Apple - 2 pieces
  • Calvados - 2 tablespoons
  • Orange zest - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

For the dough: sift the flour and salt, make a well in the center, add 70 g of cold, diced butter and mix.

Step 2

Beat the egg into the dough. Mash, add ice water, and knead.

Step 3

Refrigerate for half an hour.

Step 4

For the filling: peel the apples and cut them into wedges. Also, peel the orange.

Step 5

In a skillet, melt the sugar and 50 g of butter, then pour in the Calvados. Let it melt.

Step 6

Arrange the fruits on the caramel and cover with the dough, then place in the oven at 356°F for 35–40 minutes. The dough should be pricked with a fork beforehand.
