Ingredients
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Milk - 6 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 7.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.9 oz
- Baking Powder - 1½ teaspoons
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Powdered Sugar - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Pour the milk into a saucepan and add the butter. Place over low heat, allowing the butter to completely melt in the milk, stirring occasionally. Once the butter has melted, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift into a large bowl.
Step 4
Using a mixer, beat the eggs with the vanilla extract, then add the sugar and continue to beat until the sugar dissolves.
Step 5
Pour the egg-sugar mixture into the bowl with the flour, mix with a mixer until smooth, then pour in the cooled milk and butter mixture and continue to mix.
Step 6
Grease a baking dish with butter and line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into it and place in the oven for approximately 45 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Baking time may vary depending on the oven — it took me 1 hour.
