Ingredients
- Water - 2 fl oz
- Sugar - 9 tablespoons
- Strawberry - 10.6 oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Gelatin - 2 teaspoons
- Buttermilk - 2 cups
- Fresh Mint - to taste
- Vanilla salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine water and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Add 1 cup of chopped strawberries and cook for 10 minutes until the strawberries soften. Mash the berries with a fork, remove from heat, and add the remaining chopped strawberries. Transfer to a bowl, cover, and chill.
Step 2
Pour milk into a saucepan and heat on low for 10 minutes. Add gelatin, stirring constantly until it dissolves. Add vanilla sugar. Slightly increase the heat and add the remaining sugar, stirring until it dissolves.
Step 3
Remove from heat and add buttermilk. Distribute the mixture into 6 small cups, cover, and chill for 6 hours. Before serving, top each with 3 tablespoons of jam and garnish with mint sprigs.
