Ingredients
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Corn Starch - 4.2 oz
- Vanillin - 0.2 teaspoons
- Citric Acid - 0.4 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix sugar with 200 ml of water to prepare a syrup (to improve the gelling process, you can add a little gelatin), then add cornstarch and cook, adding citric acid and vanillin at the end.
Step 2
After cooking, pour the cooled mixture into trays lined with parchment paper, allow the mixture to thicken, and after 4 hours, cut into rectangular pieces.
Step 3
Coat the pieces in powdered sugar and place them in a dry cardboard box. For added color and flavor, you can add a little fruit or berry juice or syrup to the Turkish delight.
