Description

You can use other sweet and savory fillings as well. You can make closed pies by placing the filling on one side and carefully covering it with the other side, pinching the edges well. The dough is enough for one pie.

Ingredients

  • Milk - 12 fl oz
  • Sugar - 0.5 oz
  • Salt - 0.1 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 16.9 oz
  • Dry yeast - 1.8 oz
  • Margarine - 7.1 oz
  • Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

For the dough starter, heat the milk to about 99°F (body temperature), dissolve the yeast, sugar, and salt in it. Sift 2/3 cup of flour, mix well, lightly sprinkle with flour on top, and place in a warm place to rise for about 15–25 minutes. The starter should rise 2–3 times its size — choose a suitable container.

Step 2

While the starter is rising, melt the margarine in warm milk in a large bowl or pot (do not boil). Let it cool.

Step 3

When the starter is ready, sift 3 cups of flour into the margarine and milk mixture so that it covers the surface. Carefully place the starter on top and mix, beating with a spoon. The dough will be soft and sticky. Sprinkle it with the remaining flour (1/3 cup), cover with a lid, and place in a warm place for about 40 minutes.

Step 4

For the filling, lightly beat 2 eggs with a fork, add 2 packs of cottage cheese, and mix well.

Step 5

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil, place the dough on it, and spread it out with oiled hands. Add the filling and distribute it evenly. Fold the edges of the dough over to cover the filling slightly.

Step 6

Place in a preheated oven at 356°F and bake until done for about 50 minutes.
